Bürgercampus: Shopping Trolley
Donnerstag 3. Oktober 2013, von
Glasheen Art Studio Programm (COPE Foundation) started a project in Cork, Ireland using shopping trolleys as a vehicle to connect with people, stories, life in the city and the many fascinating aspects and concepts connected to shopping trolleys. We discovered facts for example that every year trolleys to the value of 50000 - 60000 Euro are fished out of the River Lee in the city of Cork. People have stories to tell, moving house with a trolley, having their home in a trolley, dancing with a trolley, racing in a trolley etc. This project is about connecting with people in Berlin. We will go out to gather stories and invite people to come to the Berlin Kreuzberg Markthalle neun to get creative with us. You would be amazed what you could do with a shopping trolley - using it as an music instrument, as a weaving frame, a sculpture, playing games, or to go shopping. The process will be filmed and included in a movie.
