Frame Talks

Shelley Sacks, Wolfgang Zumdick

A twenty-four hour action

A mobile instrument made of a steel frame covered with deerskin creates a place where we encounter the ideas, values and habits with which we shape our lives and our society. However, Frame Talks not only provides a space for us to encounter these ideas, but we also move them at the same time - Frame Talks is a rethinking space.

While talking about topics such as progress, growth and freedom through the large rectangulous space that was cut out of the center of the deer skin, we always have this real skin of a non-human being between us, which constantly reminds us of the question how we live in the world.

This 3x12 hours’ exchange is interrupted only by hourly ostinatos on the progress of the process, and it is also a space for capacity building. A space to develop invisible skills such as active listening and creative imagination. The exchange can take place anywhere. The process is open insofar as it can take place both with organized groups as well as in a open, participatory form.
