Jessica Carson

As an Artist I want to contribute to communities of people engaged, creative and connected, using their passions and talents to create a more positive future.
My work is primarily in the field of Socially engaged Art but spans a range of practices. My work is with a high commitment to high artists standards and based on a respect for each individuals creative contribution. I believe a quality, creative participatory projects focused on the artistic process and outcomes has the intrinsic capacity to achieve a wide range social or other expectations that a group may bring to a project. I am most interested in the connective power of arts, and its capacity to contribute to personal and social transformation.

The values that I bring to my work are Creativity and Passion, Inclusion, Active participation, Understanding and empathy, Recognising and promoting multiple perspectives, intelligences and ways of expressing and learning, Response-ability (ability to respond).
